Build And Grow workshop this weekend!

We LOVE these Build And Grow workshops sooo much!  The suggested ages for these projects are 6-10 years, but we have been doing them with our kids since they were 3-4 (with extra help).  This week Saturday (4/10/2010) starting at 10AM you can build a wooden baseball game.  On Saturday (4/17/2010) you can build a see-through planter for mothers day.  Click here for details and to sign your children up for free!

Easter Egg Dye T-Shirts

Ever wonder what to do with that Easter egg dye when you're done coloring eggs?

 

We decided to tie-dye t-shirts... First we sectioned the t-shirt randomly with rubber bands.

Then we spooned the left-over egg dye onto the t-shirts until they were completely soaked with bright colors.

Removed the rubber bands and hung them up to dry...

We love how they turned out!

**We used PAAS brand Easter egg coloring.  Be sure to place them in the dryer for several minutes and/or iron them to make the color more permanent.

build a butterfly house

We can't wait to build butterfly houses this weekend at Home Depot!  These kid workshops are super fun and free! Your child will also receive a Home Depot apron and a project pin!  Workshops are from 9am-12noon on Saturday, April 3rd, while supplies last.

Looking forward to hanging these in our garden!
